Welcome to St. Bernard of Clairvaux Parish of Wauwatosa. This parish was established in 1911 as a result of Catholics moving westward from Milwaukee and a need to establish a parish in the Village of Wauwatosa. Monsignor Bernard Traudt was instrumental in establishing the parish and in gratitude of the people it came to bear his name. The parish school was in operation by 1917 and continued growth over the years has made the parish a visible sign of stability in the community. As we have recently completed our 95th year, we give thanks to God who is our Rock of Salvation and the Source of our living.
We are pleased to offer services for children in the Day Care and the Parish School, providing education from K3 to 8th grade. The Religious Education Programs provide for children in K5 through high school. The parish has numerous choirs, a full slate of people to serve in liturgical ministries, a variety
of committees that oversee much of the life of the parish from day to day.
The parish mission statement expresses our desire to serve the Lord well in
its stewardship of time, talent and treasure, as we celebrate the sacramental
life of the Church and many events of importance in people's lives. We believe our parish community to be filled with hospitality to all and welcome you to
come to pray and worship here. If you are new to the area, we can assist you
in answering your questions. If this is the parish you would like to call your
own, simply contact the Parish Office and we will arrange for someone to
meet with you.
